Founder and Director of Community Relations
Orlando City Soccer Club
As a founder of Orlando City Soccer Club, Kay Rawlins currently serves as their Director of Community Relations. Originally from the UK, Kay has lived in the US for over 10 years. During her time in the UK, Rawlins was deeply involved in education through owning and administering preschools, functioning as an educational assessor, and teaching parenting classes.
After moving to Austin, Texas, Rawlins founded the soccer team Austin Aztex before moving the team to Orlando in 2010. It was during her time in Austin that Kay discovered her passion for the community, serving on the board of several non-profits.
Under Rawlins’ leadership, Orlando City Soccer is on the rise, with a new stadium and a spot in Major League Soccer in 2015. Rawlins’ coordinates much of the Club’s community outreach, sending players to schools and youth groups to discuss exercise and healthy choices. She also heads up the Orlando City Foundation, and serves on both the Community Leadership Council for the Howard Phillips Center and the advisory council for Fifth Third’s “Summer of Dreams.”
