As President and CEO for CareerSource Central Florida, Pamela Nabors provides executive leadership to a team that provides contracted local, state and federal workforce programs and delivers recruitment, training and employment retention services to Central Florida area residents and employers. Ms. Nabors oversees the second largest workforce region in the State, comprised of five counties; she is responsible for service delivery to Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Sumter counties. These workforce services are delivered through six career centers within the five-county region.
Prior to joining CareerSource Central Florida she served as the Director of Program Operations for Capital Workforce Partners (CWP), the Workforce Investment Board in Hartford, CT. For the past ten plus years, she managed all adult and youth workforce programs in Hartford County including oversight of four One Stop centers while providing services to over 45,000 job seekers in Hartford.
Pamela has over 20 years’ experience designing, managing, operating and directing workforce development initiatives, programs and services for the community. Ms. Nabors has spent over two decades designing workforce programs to meet the needs of the community including programs to address youth employment, adult displaced/dislocated workers, long-term unemployed, veterans, and those with challenges to re-entering the workforce, all while meeting the needs of the business community. She also is a Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) and holds a Management Services endorsement.
Prior to working in Connecticut, Pamela was the Planning Director for the regional Brevard Workforce Development Board in Cocoa, Florida. Ms. Nabors also holds a Master’s Degree in Personnel Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology, and possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in English from State University College in Buffalo, New York. Pam and her husband Paul are excited to have relocated back to the Central Florida area where they have made Orlando their home – a home which they share with their little black Pomeranian Pepper.
